What does “Acre on behalf of your mortgage advisor” mean on my credit report?

If you’ve recently applied for a mortgage via a broker that uses Acre, they’ll verify your identity in order to comply with anti-money laundering regulations. We do this electronically using credit reference agencies. This is known as a 'quotation search' or 'enquiry search'. These searches are only seen by you, and do not affect your credit score or your ability to obtain credit. You may also have consented to Acre retrieving your full credit history using what’s known as an ‘Audit search'. These searches are also only seen by you, and do not affect your credit score or your ability to obtain credit. Who is Acre backed by?

Acre was born out of Founders Factory, which is an organisation that offers an incubator for start-up companies and assists with product development, market insight and capital. Aviva Ventures is an investor in Founders Factory and worked with Sesame Bankhall Group to help facilitate Aviva’s investment in Acre.

How can I access Acre?

The best way to first see Acre is by booking a demo. One of our business development team will take you through the platform and answer any questions you might have. When you’re ready to make the move, our customer support team will help onboard you and be on hand for continual training and support. We understand that moving to an entirely new system can be a big move for your firm!

How regularly is sourcing updated?

Sourcing is updated every day at 1am.

How much does Acre cost?

We’ll charge your firm when you earn money. We plan to grow your business by saving you time per case and by growing your business. You pay a fee for every application that completes. We don’t charge a license fee per user like others, it’s simply one contract that covers unlimited users.

Can I import data from my current system?

Yes, absolutely. We can migrate your existing client base and move them over to Acre.

Where do you get your data from for sourcing?

Whilst all the technology is built by us, we do pull data from a number of sources. For our sourcing tool we pull data from Iress.
